Must-See Design at the 2026 San Francisco Decorator Showcase

The event design-lovers and industry pros look forward to every year is here: The 2026 San Francisco Decorator Showcase, now in its 47th annual season, has unveiled this year’s transformed residence in Pacific Heights, a Queen Anne-style Victorian located at 2315 Broadway. Open to the public from April 25 through May 25, the highly anticipated event showcases a curated group of interior design and architecture firms, each of whom have transformed a room in the historic home into immersive, one-of-a-kind spaces that blend artistry, innovation and contemporary vision.

Built in 1897 and designed by architect Moses J. Lyon, the nearly 10,000-square-foot house is a quintessential San Francisco Victorian originally built for the Anspacher family. It was later owned and thoughtfully preserved by architect Herbert P. McLaughlin, whose 60-year family stewardship honored and maintained the home’s integrity. The historic residence features incredible character and detailing across its eight bedrooms, seven-and-a-half bathrooms, multiple offices, a sunroom, formal and casual living spaces, and a serene south-facing garden, plus sweeping views of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay.

New Ways to Experience Showcase

Showcase has introduced new immersive programming for 2026 that brings some of the Bay Area’s most influential creative talents directly into the home, expanding beyond a traditional tour experience. The thoughtfully curated events bring together design, food and beverage, fashion, and culture, all with the goal of further supporting San Francisco University High School’s Financial Aid Program and its mission to expand access to education and ensure a diverse and vibrant student body.

Upcoming events include:

  • A private opening night culinary evening with Dominique Crenn, featuring refined canapés served within the Showcase kitchen
  • A three-course dinner and wine pairing with Michael Mina, with an optional overnight experience at The Westin St. Francis San Francisco on Union Square
  • A fashion integration with Levi’s Blue Tab, woven into a fully designed dressing room installation
  • A multi-day Mother’s Day “Sip & Shop” experience with Oso & Me
  • An intimate evening and trunk show with Lauren Harwell Godfrey, featuring a panel conversation exploring the intersection of fashion and interior design
  • Weekly programming including Friday Happy Hours and a new Monday evening speaker series

“Bringing this year’s Showcase home to life has been a truly rewarding and extraordinary experience,” said Stephanie Yee, executive director of San Francisco Decorator Showcase. “Our designers, donors, sponsors, volunteers and builders dedicated incredible creativity and effort to every detail, working long hours and weekends under an extremely tight deadline. The result is a home that beautifully balances historic character with a contemporary vision — all while supporting the students and bringing the community together.”

Marin Magazine and SPACES magazine are proud Diamond sponsors of the San Francisco Decorator Showcase.
