SAUSALITO, CA (September 16, 2025) — Marin Magazine proudly announces the relaunch of SPACES as a distinctive architecture and design publication that celebrates the San Francisco Bay Area. Combining a fresh editorial vision, a growing digital presence and the insight of its distinguished Advisory Board, SPACES is set to inspire and educate sophisticated design enthusiasts and professionals who call the Bay Area home.
Led by Publisher Nikki N. Wood and Editor Lotus Abrams, the 2026 relaunch of SPACES will shine a light on the full spectrum of Bay Area design talent — from celebrated architects and name-brand designers to the often-unsung professionals, collaborators, and craftspeople who bring projects to life.
“SPACES aims to fill a void in design media. National publications often miss what is unique about the Bay Area design scene, while regional titles often lack deep community roots,” said Michele Kuhns, Head of Brand Strategy and Business Development. “SPACES will be a truly authentic voice, offering content that resonates deeply, inspiring our community to bring the innovative spirit of Bay Area design
into their own lives and projects.”
Introducing the SPACES Advisory Board
An integral part of the re-launch are the design luminaries who have joined the SPACES Advisory Board. These tastemakers serve as strategic collaborators, helping shape editorial direction, extend community reach, and uphold the brand’s standard of excellence.
